When we bought our houseBought at Lake Arrowhead 12 yrs ago we hired a grounds care and snow removal serve using the yellow pages. Big mistake. It turned out to be a very costly and embarrassing mistake. They did a poor job clearing the area, failed to turn off the sprinkler system resulting in its destruction over the winter and as it turned out failed to plow our drive way assuming we wouldn't come up in the winter. Well we did. Show up with three other couples inviting three couples only to arrive unable to get into the house due to all the snow and ice. We called our realtors for suggestions and she had us call Ron Hammer. At 10:30 PM he and his guys were helping us get into our houser his in. Needless to say from that point on he was our guy.
overmthe years any repair or maintance work we needed done, we simply called Ron and he took care to see it was done correctly and at a reasonable price. He has made owning a second home effectively worry free and effortless for us. Over 10'yrs of service he has shown himself to be reliable to a fault, reasonable in all things and most importantly to me, honest and a person true to his word. Frankly you don't come across people like Ron much anymore, to bad.

Ron Hammer and his crew are fantastic. We have been customers for the past 17 years and can't imagine how complicated things would be without them!! If you own property in the mountains then you know how difficult it is to find good, reliable, competent, quality help. And even if you are a 'DYI' type, there are always jobs that are tough, or that you just don't want to do. Hammer can handle it all. We outsource everything to his team, but you can even count on them for one off jobs, which is the beauty of his service. As you can tell, I highly recommend them and you can call or email me if you have any questions about their service or want a personal reference Hammer Mountain Patrol.
On Friday December 11th, my husband, myself and our cat rode up the mountain in a Toyota Camry w/o chains. We had no idea there was ice and snow on the roads that would cause being stuck. There was no snow patrol or signs. When we reach Grass Valley and made our left from Peninsula we immediately saw ice and snow - a lot blocking - but we manage to keep going until we came across a white Silverado truck that was stuck and blocking the road. Because we slowed down & stopped, our car became stuck. Naturally we didn't know what to do. We almost made it to the top of the incline near Brentwood Drive but with our cat we could not dare to walk with the cold air. And the fact (I have to admit) our cat is fat and heavy. I thought immediately that perhaps Ron Hammer would know what to do. He not only volunteered to find us and help us get home but most of all he gave me comfort and the feeling of being safe. It turns out that the driver of the truck had been drinking and his truck kept rolling back almost on top of us. Somehow the driver backed his truck down the road and started going up again and did make it. In between events he yelled out he only lived 100 years away. We backed up too and started back up the road and got going & arrived safely at home. The comfort of Ron staying in touch with us proves that he and his company will go beyond the call of duty for their clients (friends). I would highly recommend them - you could not be in better hands!! Linda Marlene S
